Wedding ceremony with a view over the Grand Harbour, Malta

Rhiannon and James wanted help with finding the perfect location for their intimate wedding ceremony to combine with the reception they already had booked at Cugo Gran Macina hotel. I was looking for a venue with nice views and to include history. The Upper Barraka gardens is a public garden, but when I went to do a site visit I found the perfect location in the gardens for an intimate wedding. To the far end of the terrace and overlooking the canon’s was this little area which worked perfectly for their size group.

Once set up with the stunning floral arch decorated in teal and pampas, along with the ceremony chairs and teal bows, the ceremony area looked beautiful.

To accompany the ceremony we had the lovely music of violinist @cassar3651

After the ceremony the group had welcome drinks and photos which includes the firing of the canon’s.

A vintage bus collected them to transport to their wedding reception.

It was a beautiful set up for the wedding reception at the Little Bastion restaurant of Cugo Gran Macina hotel in Senglea. @cugo_gran_macina

Rhiannon wanted help with the decorations for the reception which I loved helping to design for their intimate wedding. The theme colour was teal which looked amazing on the tables.

The group had a 3 course menu which the chef of the restaurant put together. This was accompanied by the lovely sounds of the saxophonist @lucadsax

After dinner, @skarlet_music performed as a duo with singer and guitarist and the guests enjoyed an open bar.

Once it was dark you could see the stunning lighting – fairy lights in the planters and trees and uplighters lighting up the bastion @mifsudgaetano_in_d_sound

The naked cake was also made by the chef of the restaurant.

It was a beautiful wedding. Congratulations to the bride and groom and a big thanks to all the suppliers involved.
